FREE AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Mondays (May 3 – May 24)
PLAYGROUND FUN (Gr. 1-3) Play recreational sports and games outside with your friends while burning off energy and working to building skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. Teacher: Sandi
RECYCLING ART (Gr. 2-3) Come together to build creations out of various recycled materials. Students will learn the term “upcycling” and discover how materials can be used more than once to create something “new” and unexpected. (Most of the class will take place outside.) Teacher: Aaron
CHESS (Gr. 4-6) Learn this classic game for the first time or sharpen your skills. Develop your analytical skills, concentration and memory while playing chess. Teacher: Howard
Wednesdays (May 5-May 26)
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES (Gr. 4-5) Play recreational sports and games outside with your friends while burning off energy and working to hone skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship. Teacher: Sandi
CHECKMATE CHESS (Gr. 1-3) Challenge yourself! Exercise your brain! Enjoy the competition! All chess levels are welcome. Teacher: Howard

LIBRARY VISIT (Gr. K-2) Enjoy exciting stories, decorate a library bag, check out books, and experiment with flight and motion (Class will be held outside, so dress for the weather.)
Wednesday, May 19
LIBRARY VISIT (Gr. 3-5) Check out new books from the pop up library, decorate a library bag, and do an experiment with flight and motion! (Class will be held outside so dress for the weather.)
Class Time: 3:00-4:15 PM Cost: Free
Class size is limited, so register as soon as possible.
School safety protocols will be followed. Face coverings are required at all times in indoor and outdoor programming and social distancing will be maintained (3 feet between students and 6 feet between adults). Students should not attend the program if they feel sick during school.
No transportation is available. Students must be walkers or get picked up.
Parent pickup is at 4:15 PM. Students will be spaced out on black top near the playground (or in the cafeteria in the event of inclement weather). Parents will tell the staff member their student’s name and then will pick the student out from the group. MPS Health and Safety Protocols will be required of parents/guardians such as wearing a face covering and maintaining a social distance of 6 feet while waiting near parent pick up.
If the student is walking home, they are encouraged to stay away from non-family members and wear their face covering until they arrive home.
